Read About One of Our Best Customers, Madame Bernadine Richard!
Read about a customer who has installed most of what we sell! Madame Richard (ably assisted by husband Jean-Paul), with no formal training, turned eight acres from wilderness into a garden of delight. Madame Richard is a past President of the Sandy Springs Garden Club and is now the President of the Sandy Springs Society.
So, What’s In a Water Garden?
The features that we build in our own backyards are really small ecosystems.
That is a fancy word that means that there are a bunch of different chemical
and biological things going on in there. Small life forms like algae,
bacteria and worms (and if we care to do the extra work, fish, snails and
such) live out their lives, life cycles there!
It’s a microscopic world that wouldn’t exist without our help.
We’ve done our research, and we think that this article, jointly prepared by
the University of Minnesota, Duluth and Lake Superior College, clearly
explains a lot of what is really going on. You can find the whole thing, and
a lot of other great information at their web site, www.waterontheweb.org.
Please don’t be daunted by the size of it. I believe that anyone who can
cook a TV. Dinner will understand it, and if you have questions, e-mail me
and I will try to help! mark@earthproducts.net
